International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX)

The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) Educational Advising Center provides information on a number of scholarships for students, teachers, academics and other professionals to study and conduct research in the United States. Individuals who are willing to apply for admission directly are welcome to use catalogs of universities, test information, registration bulletins and study materials to prepare for tests on a walk-in basis. The Center also offers general information lectures, program lectures, orientation programs, test information hours (TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, SAT, etc) and individual counseling sessions by appointment.

IREX administers programs addressing contemporary issues for policymakers, the corporate community, and the media. IREX fosters the development of Internet and E-mail, library and archival cooperation, international networking among scholars and professionals, and collaborative international conferences and workshops.

In 2002/2003 IREX/Tbilisi administeres the following programs in Georgia:

Global Undergraduate Exchange program

Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA)

Internet Access & Training program (IATP)

ECA Alumni Small Grants Program

University Administration Support Program (UASP)
