Media Educational Exchange Program for Georgian Journalists

Georgian journalists interested in a study/internship program next spring in the UnitedStates - funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi - are invited to apply to the InternationalCenter for Journalists (ICFJ), based in Washington, D.C.
The 2012 program is intended for midcareer journalists across Georgia in TV, radio andonline media who are looking for their first exposure to U.S. media practices, as wellas accomplished hosts/anchors of news talk shows. Two weeks of study and trainingsin U.S. include hands-on multimedia work; advanced instruction in specialized areassuch as investigative and business reporting, digital media, and media management;and discussions with government officials, advocacy professionals and U.S. journalists.Interpreters will be provided, so that non-English-speakers may attend. For the internshipportion of the program, ICFJ will select three English-speaking Georgian journalists forthree-week stays at U.S. media outlets, and two non-English-speaking journalists for twoweeks at other media outlets, with interpreters.
