From April 20-24, Leitha Nesbitt, wife of  Major General William T.  Nesbitt, the Adjutant General of the State of Georgia National Guard, traveled to Tbilisi where she made several goodwill visits and met with young Georgians to share information about life in her home around Atlanta, Tbilisi's "sister city" since 1988.   At the American Corner in Rustavi, Mrs. Nesbitt gave a brief presentation on the U.S. state of Georgia and had a lively discussion with the group about the ethnic Georgian community in the US, particularly around Atlanta.  Mrs. Nesbitt also visited secondary school No 189 in Tbilisi, where the students preformed a traditional Georgian dance in Mrs. Nesbitt's honor, and Mrs. Nesbitt distributed postcards with special greetings from American students.   Thanks to Mrs. Nesbitt's visit, young Georgians know more about their "sisters" in Atlanta and are seeking to develop stronger ties to students in the US.
