University students see Embassy in action (June 19)
Students from Tbilisi State University visited Embassy to learn how it works to implement Embassy mission and support US-Georgia relations. These students participated in the Tbilisi Central Library Project “Learn More about America” and delivered presentation about the United States to high school students. This project was organized by the Tbilisi Central Library and was dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of the US-Georgia relations.
Embassy supported the project by providing material and recruiting speakers from the Embassy. Students were invited to the Embassy for their interest in the USA and woderful presentations. Michael Turner, PAO greeted the students at the ACIR. He spoke about the role of social media in implementing Embassy Mission and US Georgia Relations. John Rahaghi, PMF and Etia Zavrishvili, Embassy Facebook/Alumni coordinator introduced the Embassy Facebook and encouraged students to become friends and be interactive on the Embassy facebook.
After the presentation students visited Embassy Sections: PAS, Pol/Econ, DAO, Justice. Georgian employees explained what are the responsibilities of each section and how they support to successfully implementing entire Embassy Mission .
