Ambassador Norland attended the Gender Equality in Political Processes event, and said that the U.S. Government is pleased to support this program. Under the USAID-funded Increased Trust in Electoral Processes (ITEP) program, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems gave the Union of Wives of Invalids and Lost Warriors a grant to organize roundtable discussions focused on women’s participation in Georgia’s political process.
