Best ELCE Program teachers meet in Ureki for a Summer Institute (July 12)

As recognition and reward for ELCE participant English Language Teachers PH International arranged a five-day Summer Institute for the high performing teachers who were nominated by ELTTs. 28 teachers from Telavi, Gori, Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Batumi arrived to Ureki on July 7 to participate in Summer Institute, meet their colleagues and share their experiences. Each and every Summer Institute participant teacher had to deliver a presentation on different topics reflecting materials they have studied during the first cycle of the Program that included topics like: Classroom management; Using drama in lesson plans; Considerations of learning styles for lesson planning; Error correction for pronunciation; Adapting materials for the lower and higher levels; Effective warm-up activities; Strategies for teaching scaffolding and other. The Summer Institute also included activities like ELCE Olympics, talent show where teams from different regions were provided with an opportunity to showcase unique form of talents through acting, singing, dancing, playing an instrument, even dipping churchkhelas in front of the participants as well as shooting an ELCE promo film and preparing it for viewing.
