U.S. Embassy and Government of Georgia Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations in Svaneti (August 1)

TBILISI, Georgia – Chargé d’Affaires Bridget Brink joined Georgia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze on Rustavi2’s early afternoon show “Other News” to talk about the events to mark 20th anniversary of U.S.-Georgia diplomatic relations. The festivities will center around a joint U.S.-Georgian group of climbers attempting to summit Mt. Tetnuldi (4,858 meters) in Svaneti. The celebration is organized by the U.S. Embassy and the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition to the Mt. Tetnuldi climb, activities include hiking around Mestia, visiting Ushguli, learning traditional Georgian cooking in hands-on classes, and attending cultural performances.
