Ambassador Bass meets journalists in Batumi

U.S. Ambassador John Bass participated in a media roundtable in Batumi during a familiarization trip to the Adjara autonomous region. Journalists from regional broadcast and print media outlets including local representatives of the national broadcasters met with the Ambassador to discuss the status of media in Adjara as well as Georgia as a whole. Ambassador Bass noted that media play an important role in a mature democracy and thanked the journalists for the opportunity to speak with them.
