Counselor Kalicki Attends Regional Standards Conference in Tbilisi

Tbilisi—On November 20-21st, Jan Kalicki, U.S. Department of Commerce Counselor and Ombudsman for the Newly Independent States (NIS), attended the regional Dialogue on Product Standards and Certification being held at Krtsanisi Residence. Representatives of the Standards Agencies, and Ministries of Agriculture, Health, and Trade from each of the three Caucasus countries participated in this event.
Counselor Kalicki and Georgian government officials will hold a press conference on Tuesday, November 21st at 4:00 p.m. at Krtsanisi Residence to discuss the outcome of the standards dialogue. Counselor Kalicki will also discuss his bilateral meetings with senior Georgian Government officials, including President Shevardnadze and State Minister Gia Arsenishvili, on energy and commercial issues
