USS Taylor’s home port is NS Mayport, Florida.  The ship is a multi-mission platform capable of performing a variety of roles.

Georgian officials and local residents will welcome the crew at Poti pier. There are also several events planned with the town of Poti including a social and a community relations project where members of the crew will participate in a beautification project of the city. On December 29, the crew will host a reception to welcome distinguished visitors and media on board. The USS Taylor will leave Poti on December 30.
