US Congressional Delegation Visits Georgia

A bipartisan U.S. delegation of the House Committee on Armed Services led by Rep. Susan Davis (Dem.) of California will visit Tbilisi on Friday, May 8 and meet with Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze and other senior Georgian officials.  Traveling delegation members include Reps. Diana DeGette of Colorado, Judy Biggert of Illinois, Donna Edwards of Maryland, Ann Kirkpatrick of Arizona, and Carol Shea-Porter of New Hampshire, plus staff members. The delegation will discuss U.S.-Georgia relations. 

The U.S. House Committee on Armed Services, commonly known as the House Armed Services Committee, is a standing committee of the United States House of Representatives. It is responsible for funding and oversight of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the United States armed forces, as well as substantial portions of the Department of Energy.
