US Embassy Provides Georgia’s Ethnic Minorities with Election Posters in Native Languages

US Embassy supported efforts by the Central Election Commission of Georgia to provide voter information to the ethnic minority regions in Georgia. The Embassy funded the translation and printing of the “Go Vote” posters and informational brochures in the Azeri, Armenian, Ossetian and Russian languages to encourage citizens to participate in the elections. About 15 500 leaflets and 4 000 posters were distributed in Tskhinvali district and in the Samtske-Javaxeti and Kvemo Kartli regions of Georgia.
