USG Exchanges Promote Development of Georgian Small Business
DAS Graffy attended a wine reception with thirteen USG program alumni hosted by the Georgian wine company, Vinoterra, in Kakheti, East Georgia, the main winemaking region of Georgia. Vinoterra was founded by Community Connections Program alumnus Gia Piradashvili, who, as a result of his trip to the U.S. was able to advance his company and start to export Georgian wine to the U.S. In addition to discussing U.S. exchange program successes and results with DAS Graffy, alumni from Kakheti had the rare opportunity to interact with each other and network. DAS Graffy talked about the importance of USG educational-exchange programs and was interviewed by two Georgian TV channels – TV Mze and Georgian Public Broadcasting.
