Tv program “kedeli” dedicates a special show to flex
Embassy and American Council’s phones lit up after FLEX and USG youth exchanges were featured on Georgian Public Broadcasting Company’s youth program “Kedeli,” the wall, named after the studio’s graffiti-strewn set. Featuring over 60 “FLEX-ies,” alumni spoke about their U.S. experiences and the impact FLEX has had on their lives. Embassy Cultural Affairs Assistant, Magda Magradze, one of Georgia’s earliest FLEX alumna, spoke about the importance of educational exchange, and profiled the full range of USG exchange programs. The program also featured guests from the Ministry of Education and international organizations offering other exchange opportunities to Georgians. “Kedeli” is the main youth TV program in Georgia, and an estimated 80% of Georgia’s population (4 million) nationwide watches it. The program was aired on November 9, 2007 to celebrate International Education Week.
