Georgian Scholars And Students Learn About New Trends In Global Marketing
On December 19, 2006, the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section organized a presentation by Dr. Erdener Kaynak, professor of marketing from Penn State University and coordinator of the marketing program at the School of Business Administration. The presentation was entitled “Global Competitive Strategies in Changing World Environment” and was hosted by the American Studies Center at the Tbilisi State University. Students of marketing from Tbilisi State University, Robakidze University, and Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations attended the lecture.
Dr. Kaynak visited Georgia as a Fulbright Senior Specialist from September until December 2006 with the invitation of the U.S. Embassy to lecture at and advise the International Black Sea University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. During his time in Georgia, Dr. Kaynak delivered lectures and seminars to Georgian scholars and graduate students on new trends of global marketing, research/publication productivity, how to get published in American and European scholarly reviewed journals, designing courses, and improving educational quality.
Dr. Kaynak is the senior editor for the Haworth Press Inc. of New York, London and Melbourne. He is the editor-in-chief and founder of six academic journals among those the Journal of International Food Marketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, and Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Marketing. Dr. Kaynak was ranked as the second most influential international business professionals by the editorial board of thirty international business journals.
