Entrepreneurship Training for Rural Schools Held in Batumi

Representatives of 8 rural secondary schools and 3 Agricultural Technical Colleges received entrepreneurship training from representatives of the FFA Organization July 5-10 in Batumi. The seminar is helping the new rural youth organization to develop educational activities that will aid students in becoming better employees, start businesses in rural areas or advance to higher education. The training is a part of a project funded by the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service in conjunction with World Link (USA) and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) to expand the number of schools with Future Farmers of Georgia (FFG) chapters. FFG is helping secondary schools and ag-tech colleges meet the new challenges of education in rural Georgia by providing leadership and entrepreneurship training and practical experience through individual entrepreneurship projects. Participants were provided with methods of integrating agriculture experience and leadership development into their existing curriculums.
