Eurasia Foundation Gathers Media,
Human Rights, And Advocacy Professionals Of The South Caucasus

On January 30, 2006 USAID through Eurasia Foundation’s South
Caucasus Cooperation Program (SCCP) held a regional Media Networking
Event for media, advocacy, and human rights organizations from
Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. International organizations
working in the region were also invited to take part.
The event was opened by Rowena Cross-Najafi, US Embassy’s Public
Affairs Officer and Robert O’Donovan, Regional Director, SCCP.
During the event, participants heard presentations about the
existing situation in the field of media in all South Caucasus
countries. The partners of the three-sided project: “Regional
News Content Analysis” also presented the outcomes of their
project. In the second half of the day, participants attended
presentations made by different donors and implementing organizations
about their ongoing or future projects in the field of media.
