Dollar Store Celebrates Opening of Third Store in Georgia

On August 19, U.S. Embassy Political Officer, Deborah Miller, helped the Dollar Store Georgia opened its third and largest store in Gldani district of Tbilisi. Ms. Miller and Dollar Store Georgia representative, Tamuna Mindorashvili, cut the ribbon to the front door in an opening ceremony that guests celebrated with Champaign and an inaugural shopping spree.

The Gldani Dollar Store is the latest franchise for Dollar Store Georgia, which has a Master Franchise agreement for the Commonwealth of Independent States IS with the Dollar Store's headquarter in California. Russia and Ukraine have already applied for the sub-franchising agreements from the Georgian Dollar Store and additional expansion in Georgia is under consideration.
