Public Affairs Officer Congratulates Graduates Of The Caucasus School Of Business

On October 14, 2006 Public Affairs Officer Rowena Cross-Najafi attended the official graduation ceremony of the Caucasus School of Business at the Republican Youth Palace in Tbilisi. Among the other invited guests participating in the awards ceremony were Mr. Kakha Bendukidze, State Minister of Georgia, Mr. Ramaz Khurodze, Rector of Georgian Technical University, Mr. Lasha Papashvili, Head of Supervisory Board of Bank Republic, Dr. J.Colin J. Dodds, President of St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Canada, Mr. Denis Leclaire, Director of International Office of St. Mary’s University, Mr. Jim Hart, Head of NDI Georgia, Dr. Boghdan Budzan, President of Management Consulting Center, Representative of CEEMAN, Ukraine and Ms. Maryana Lozynska, Director of Marketing and PR of International Management Institute, Ukraine. 90 BBA and 6 MBA students were awarded with CSB diplomas at the ceremony.

The Caucasus School of Business was founded in 1998 by a consortium of the following Georgian Universities – Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, and Tbilisi State Institute of Economic Relations in partnership with Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. A U.S. Department of State funded university partnership program with Georgia State University assisted the school in developing a business education program through curriculum and faculty development. Last year CSB introduced a PhD program. A second partnership program with Georgia State University was supported by Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State for the development of the PhD program. This partnership project involves curriculum development, participation of CSB faculty members in doctoral seminars at Georgia State University and cooperative research under the supervision of the Georgia State University faculty.
