Ambassador Tefft performs Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World with Maia Baratashvili and Tony O’Malley
Tbilisi Municipality Concert Orchestra Performs at the U.S. Ambassador's Residence
On Monday, September 25th, Ambassador and Mrs. Tefft hosted a reception promoting American jazz in Georgia. The Tbilisi Municipality Concert Orchestra gave a concert at the event, followed by a buffet dinner. There were many distinguished guests, including members of the diplomatic corps and jazz legend Gary Burton, who was in Tbilisi to perform on Tuesday evening with fellow jazz great Chick Corea.
The concert included a number of talented solo performances by Maia Baratashvili, Tony O’Malley, the Gulashvili Brothers, Tako Gachechiladze, and Boris Bedia, plus a surprise appearance by Ambassador Tefft.
