Ambassador Tefft Hosts A Group Of Stanford Alumni At The U.S. Embassy

On September 20, 2006 Ambassador John Tefft welcomed members of the Stanford University Alumni Association at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi. A group of 17 persons, leaded by Ms. Marilyn Kinsey, Tour and Cruise Manager, visited Georgia after completion of a study tour in Turkey.

Public Affairs Officer Rowena Cross-Najafi received the guests at the Embassy and accompanied them on a tour of the Embassy which included an overview of the new building’s architecture and art collection. Participants were also able to shop at an exhibition of Georgian souvenirs and carpets organized by the Community Liaison Office.

Ambassador Tefft briefed the alumni about the current political and economic situation in Georgia, including U.S.-Georgian relations. He also answered questions on a variety of subjects.
