“GugushArt”- Gia Gugushvili’s collection at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia

On July 18th an exhibition of works by Georgian painter Gia Gugushvili’s opened at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi. The opening was attended by guests invited by the artist and Embassy staff. It will last for two weeks and more people will have the chance to view these wonderful works. The collection which is exhibited at the Embassy is called “Georgians Are Coming”; it was created over the last year. The author describes the concept of the collection this way: “With this exhibition I want to show that despite the fact that Georgia has been in isolation for a long time, we retained European values and mentality. I want to show to a large audience that in Georgia live the same people as in the whole civilized world - with the same feelings, emotions, pain, the same characters, beautiful and human”.
