Georgian Policemen Excel at FBI Mock Crime Scene Exercise
Three special agents from the FBI are conducting a three-week train-the-trainers course for Georgian criminal evidence collection teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On November 13, participants of the INL (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau) funded course completed a practical exercise at a mock crime scene to test their proficiency in forensic photography and sketching and collecting latent fingerprints, hair and fiber traces, biological materials and weapons. The FBI team was impressed with the enthusiasm and ability of the Georgian “criminalists.” FBI Special Agent Tim Crino told the Georgian media: “The class has done a very good job. They picked up the new techniques very quickly and used them all at the crime scene that we put up for them today.”
