2008 Embassy Events
On October 31, 150 school kids gather at the American Corner at the Youth Palace in Tbilisi to celebrate their favorite U.S. holiday – Halloween. Pumpkin garlands and jack-o’-lanterns set up the party atmosphere, as did the music and the wide array of childrens’ costumes. The program began with a costume parade, followed by a contest for the best costume and a disco party. Children prepared songs and poems and enjoyed participating in some traditional Halloween games: apple bobbing and candy toss. The evening was scarily fun, in best of Halloween traditions.
