U.S. Ambassador John Tefft and the Georgian Minister of Education and Science Nika Gvaramia signed an agreement marking the expansion of the U.S.-Georgia science relationship

On August 6, U.S. Ambassador John Tefft and the Georgian Minister of Education and Science Nika Gvaramia signed an agreement marking the expansion of the U.S.-Georgia science relationship.  Theagreement furthers goals previously outlined in the U.S. - Georgia Charter on Strategic Partnership, which seeks to promote increased cooperation in scientific activities and research.  Areas of potential scientific cooperation include energy, environmental protection, earthquake sensing, water resources, infectious diseases and other mutual priorities in health and biomedical research, communication technologies and engineering fields.
