“Jam Session” on display at the Philharmonic

Ambassador John Bass opened the exhibit, alongside Georgian Minister of Culture Nikoloz Rurua

US Embassy Tbilisi, in cooperation with Eastern Promotion, displayed the "Jam Session: America's Jazz Ambassadors Embrace the World" photo exhibit at the 2009 Tbilisi Jazz Festival. The exhibit chronicles the travels - and captures the cool - of legends like Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, and other performers as part of the Jazz Ambassadors cultural program sponsored by the U.S. State Department. Ambassador John Bass opened the exhibit, alongside Georgian Minister of Culture Nikoloz Rurua, in the newly renovated Tbilisi State Philharmonic Hall on October 27.
