Embassy Interns Bring A Bite of the Big Apple to Georgian Students (July 8, 2009)

U.S. Embassy interns spoke about New York City during presentations at the American Corners in Rustavi and Telavi. On July 8, Public Affairs intern Heather Rehm took Rustavi students on a virtual tour of Manhattan, highlighting the island's diverse neighborhoods and ever-changing character. Beth Lipman, also an intern in the Public Affairs Section, travelled to Telavi on July 10 to speak with students about Broadway theater. She shared the secrets of auditioning, revealed the best tips on getting tickets, and spoke about the cultural significance of several Broadway shows. A question-and-answer session followed both presentations, giving the students an opportunity to ask presenters about their personal experiences in "the City."
