Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Mathew Bryza Visits Tbilisi March 13 -14, 2009
In a two day visit, DAS Matt Bryza met with the president, speaker of Parliament, government officials, parliamentary, opposition and civil society leaders as well as His Holiness Patriarch Ilia II. In a press conference on March 14, DAS Bryza reaffirmed the U.S. commitment under the new Obama Administration to Georgia, and the “unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty.”
