Deputy Chief of Mission Kent Logsdon and Member of Parliament Mr. Sergo Kitiashvili cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the reopening of the newly-renovated American Corner at the Khashuri Central Library on December 9th.

Building upon a strong partnership with the Khashuri Library, the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy supported the renovation of the American Corner space, as well as the development of its resource collection. The project doubled the size of the existing American Corner, providing the opportunity to serve more visitors and organize classes and host presentations for larger groups.During the ceremony the DCM stressed the important role the library plays in supporting American Corner activities, offering a nuanced view of U.S. culture and values and allowing American representatives to interact with local library visitors on a personal level.
