    American Days continued in Kutaisi on Friday with the opening of a photo exhibit at the Kutaisi State Historical Museum. The collection features 70 works—primarily of American photographers Doctor B. Stone, Timothy Sullivan, and Carleton Watkins—that capture the American West’s diverse landscape, national parks, and most importantly, American people living in harmony with nature.

    On April 11, three police officers from the Georgia Ministry of Internal Affairs and two officers from the Georgia Ministry of Finance Revenue Service graduated from the United States Park Police canine narcotics detection training school.

    On Friday, April 4, the U.S. Embassy celebrated American poetry at the Center for Civic Education in Telavi. As part of the U.S. Embassy sponsored “American Days” — a month-long festival highlighting American film, art, literature. and music — the event showcased works by iconic American poets, namely Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath, Langston Hughes, Robert Frost, and Billy Collins.
